An easy to use app, so that you can remove the shades form your images with a few clicks without the need for using sophisticated programs such as Photoshop and Lightroom!
The idea of this work was emerged as a result of relating a scientific work to a daily application. When I was a graduate student, I was hiking around sunset time after a long day that had been spent in an imaging lab. The sunset was so beautiful and so was the hill! I was not able to capture both the sunset and the hill in one image. When I tab on the sunset the hill would go dark in the image. On the other hand, when I hit tab on the hill on the screen of my phone, the sunset would goes totally white. I related what I was doing at the lab during the day to that problem and after a few years, I developed an optimized algorithm to capture both the hill and the sunset in one picture.
I realized that you cannot have both the bright background and the passive foreground in an image both with perfect brightness, he reason you can naturally see them perfectly when you are looking at the scene outside in the nature, is that the iris controls the diameter of the pupil when you look at the background, the diameter of the pupil is reduced and when you look at the foreground the diameter of the pupil is increased; but this is not happening when your eyes are looking at a monitor as the monitor is not as wide as the field of view in the nature and it does not produce as much light as the sun does. So a monitor cannot trigger the iris of your eyes sufficiently when looking at different locations on one image. Hence, I developed this algorithm so that you can see the images the way you see them in nature!
The user-interface is intended to be easy to use and free of any complications as our focus is delivering a powerful image processing algorithm and applying this algorithm as quickly and as simple as possible.
For the older phones, the processing might be slow, however, we didn`t limit the app to the new phones as we wanted everyone benefit from our scientific work. So, please be patient when processing your images using old phones.
The layout might go off screen on the phones with small screens, and also on tablets with large screens, we are aware of this and will fix it in the next releases.
I hope you enjoy using this app and it helps you retrieve your dark images.
